Filipina OFW being Kept as Sex Slave

A very disturbing and repulsive entry about the rape of an OFW in the Middle East that was captured in a cell phone video was posted by Jon Mariano of OFW Living in Hong Kong taken from an ABS-CBN News.

Leila Cabinon a domestic helper in the Middle East upon arrival to the Philippines narrated the harrowing and dehumanizing fate suffered by “Melissa” at the hands of her Arab pervert son employer who repeatedly raped and passed her on to his pervert buddies. Criminal minded “jihadist” I suppose thinking they can get away with despicable perversion had the gall to video record his perversion through his cell phone that fell in the hands of Leila so she can warn us of the dangers of working in hell like the Middle East.

“Melissa's” hands were bound while she is being raped repeatedly while struggling helplessly could just wept at the barbaric treatment she gets from these perverts.

A virtual prisoner, has never seen any pay check with her passport in the hands of her evil employer could not escape her slave like fate.

This is really sad and pathetic, it has to come from someone who just got out of the Middle East to report on such horrific criminal treatment. Why not report it to the “authorities” in the Middle East? Is it because those “authorities” treats our domestic helpers as the “criminal perpetrators” instead of victims? Is it because their justice system protects their own no matter how horrible and barbaric their citizens are since these are just foreign “infidel” women? I am almost inclined to think that this is the case especially when I read this from fjordman:

Resident aliens from Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia dominate the group of rape suspects. According to these statistics, almost half of all perpetrators are immigrants. In Norway and Denmark, we know that non-Western immigrants, which frequently means Muslims, are grossly overrepresented on rape statistics. In Oslo, Norway, immigrants were involved in two out of three rape charges in 2001. The numbers in Denmark were the same, and even higher in the city of Copenhagen with three out of four rape charges. Sweden has a larger immigrant, including Muslim, population than any other country in northern Europe. The numbers there are likely to be at least as bad as with its Scandinavian neighbors. The actual number is thus probably even higher than what the authorities are reporting now, as it doesn't include second generation immigrants. Lawyer Ann Christine Hjelm, who has investigated violent crimes in Svea high court, found that 85 per cent of the convicted rapists were born on foreign soil or by foreign parents.

In lieu of all these and the number of Filipina domestic helper victims, why are we even sending domestic helpers in hell hole such as the middle east where women are treated as commodities? Why is the government of the Philippines even promoting “super maids” knowing the dangers they faced in places known to disrespect and treats women as a commodity?

It was reported that Vice President De Castro was angry and instructed OWWA to help save "Melissa" from the hands of the criminal perverts......... yeah I have seen this before all sound and fury signifying nothing from politicians but that is just what it is .......sound bytes. I am hoping I am wrong on how I feel about these grandstanding politicians and would like to be proven wrong that they can rescue "Melissa" now and bring the perpetrators to the courts for crimes against our people. Bloggers needs to take action and spread the message about this dastardly acts, expose and oppose these perverts and bring this to the attention of human rights groups and the international media.

This article has angered most readers, the end result of mismanagement of the country by political leaders that has reduced a huge portion of its citizenry in poverty. In the pursuit of following a dream and providing for their family, Filipinas find themselves in situations such as what "Melissa's" harrowing experience.
