"In societies where Robbing Hoods are treated like a celebrity it is but natural to expect political parties to act like a Mafia syndicate" Political Jaywalker "In a nation where corruption is endemic people tend to confuse due process with aiding and abetting criminals" Political Jaywalker "War doesn't determine who is right, war determines who is left" Bertrand Russell "You have just one flash flood of money, you keep your people poor. It's like a time bomb and it's scary" Philippine Lawmaker

Did Noynoy Aquino and the Liberal Party Hijacked the Spirit of EDSA I?

If religion is the opiate of the people according to Karl Marx, the Political Jaywalker says that Philippine election national or local is the cocaine of the people. A cheapo high I should say where people indulge in shallow highly partisan stupor not on party ideology or principles but on shallow bickering and personality.
Who has the right or should people or any sector for that matter have any right to use or exploit the symbolism and spirit that EDSA 1 represent in any political campaign?

If you ask Loren “The Political Butterfly no Delecadeza” Legarda who suddenly became the “voice” of the people, she has a lot to say about the Liberal Party's free-riding of the EDSA 1:
Let us not be misled by claims that People Power emanated from a few elite families. As the name aptly suggests, the credit belongs to the people. Candidates running for public office should not bastardize the true spirit of EDSA by free-riding on the commemoration of this most important episode in our history. What they are doing goes against the very meaning of EDSA which is genuine democracy, the participation of civil society, and the empowerment of the Filipino people.
Strong upright statement I should say coming from one who changes trapo loyalties as fast as she changes husband errrr dress surely makes one want to blurt out…. Look who’s talking! The nerve and hypocrisy is not even funny anymore or is it a lame attempt at humoring us? As if she is not ruining errr running with Mr. C-5 & Taga errrr Manny Villar accused by his kuligs este colleagues of impropriety if not for fraud using his position and influence wherein his Real Estate Development Company he owned benefited. I say there is no need to chide Noynoy Aquino and his panty mates ooops I meant party mates because that is their own lookout, will they swim or sink in it remains to be seen.

Stop romanticizing EDSA 1, while the phenomenon drove the Marcos conjugal dictatorship scampering out of the palace heading to Paoay errr Hawaii the succeeding political development was anti-climactic and a big failure. We have squandered whatever democratic gains that were achieved which is to be expected because it was purely the elites playing the game of musical chair. The masses of people all of a sudden seems to be the sovereign Supreme Being of the trapos and wannabe trapos to be stroked and cajoled when it truth and reality they were manipulated as mere pawns during the so-called EDSA 1 picnic errr revolution.

People seem to forget that what started it all was a botched mutiny plan of the Ramos-Enrile-Honasan faction discovered prematurely and to save their sorry hide from annihilation has no recourse but to hide behind the skirt errr desperately form an alliance kuno with Cory Aquino. It was not exactly a democracy movement but anti-Marcos sentiments reaching a critical mass thus people took to the streets. Guess why is that so? The left's anti-Marcos propaganda just helped the trapos personality contest thus no meaningful reform occurred except for the democratic space. I can understand that Satur Ocampo is now with the money camp errr Villar, but I think singing to the same out of tune griping of EDSA 1 belonging to the people will just not cut it.... the left was not exactly enamored by the yellow "uprising." It did not occur to them that the people pouring out on the street will drive away a dictator for good and were caught by surprise just watching at the sidelines.

Had it been a democracy movement that trapos and others now re-writing history according to their agenda we would not have seen numerous coup attempts during Cory Aquino’s presidency. In case people are still deluding themselves that it was a democratic movement go figure why as if by a stroke of miracle (I suspect was not of the biblical kind) the military coup plotters took a hiatus during the Ramos regime? Of course one can argue that there was one successful coup attempt during Estrada’s Jueteng National Republic but that is a different story and not the handiwork of the usual suspects.

EDSA 1 is definitely not a franchise. No particular group can claim to own it, I can agree to that but when Loren says it was all about genuine democracy she must be off her rocker. In the first place we just thought we are a democracy so where is this “genuine” democracy coming from? Well, in a genuine democracy that we aspire we have a level political playing field and from the looks of it the elites are still dominating and dictating the rules of the game, so in what planet Loren stays the most truly escapes me. Unless she believes or wants us to believe that Villar’s pouring billions of depreciated pesos is leveling the political playing field then she has her own concept of genuine democracy that only she knew and understands.

I would like to believe that in a genuine democracy we have to have a trustworthy commission on election overseeing the election, not what we have right now where they rule by law instead of abide and impose the rule of law. If we can’t even charge Garcillano and the Unbedolable Lintang Bedol with illegal possession of ugly face errr I meant electoral fraud and their cohorts’ oooops people in their team getting promoted instead of prosecuting them in court, are we to say that EDSA 1 gave us a genuine democracy? We were given a chance towards strengthening the democratic gains with the fall of the dictator but we squandered it and ended up getting worse as we change our presidents. We may have rid of the Marcos dictatorship but the trapos helped and encouraged little Marcoses to rise up again haunting us like ghost in abusing and ruling their localities like their fiefdom.

Perhaps, Loren Legarda now regrets their prison convict orange party color, well no one will stop them if they use the color yellow in the same manner that Brother Eddie Villanueva uses it and yet no one is complaining. Just because the convicts kosa (buddy) of pedophile dishonorable congressman friend of Gloria Arroyo never complains about their use of their color it does not mean that they are welcome to use it........ Maybe they are protesting, but then again is it possible that it was in anticipation of a new inmate if the next elected president whoever he is will really go after the corrupt and those who abused their power and influence to amass enormous wealth.

No one owns the spirit of EDSA 1 in the same manner that no one has the right to tell people not to use it. If they have a beef about it they should just use the occasion too and let us see how people will react. In the same vein it is up to the people and how they will treat the Liberal Party’s timing of their rally to coincide with EDSA 1 commemoration come election time.

There is no doubt that people value the legacy of Cory Aquino. A bold move on the part of Noynoy Aquino to take on the shoes of his mother, will it be a good thing or a bad thing? I say it will be a good thing if he improves on her mother’s legacy should he get elected, on the other hand if it is the same as before he can’t afford to have more disillusioned populace that may have a dire consequence on the establishment. 10% of the population roaming every corner of the globe eking out a living for lack of opportunities back home and no one seems to care how to bring them back because most if not all the candidates are hell bent on dividing the spoils. Instead of lambasting other parties why not focus on how to finish the unfinished EDSA revolution that was bastardized by the same critical people who mangled and bastardized it beyond recognition to fatten their own slimy pockets…… shame, shame, shame.

The Comelec’s Rule By Law?

In the annals of CONTINUING INSTITUTIONALIZED OPPRESSION of the Filipino people, the Comelec’s Second Division has truly created a niche for itself.

A quasi-judicial decision, such as the one issued by the 2nd Division of Comelec, like a decision of a court (a judicial body) should, among others, be clear and concise. This simply means that the decision should be- brief and complete. Brevity, however, could not, in any manner, be a reason not to resolve any legal issue raised before the tribunal. This is why the decision on a case, with complex issues, usually run to several pages despite the requirement for its brevity because between brevity and the resolution of all pertinent issues, the latter prevails as a dictate of fair play and justice. For how could we say that a decision is fair and just when it is incomplete?

In the same manner, when, for the sake of thoroughness, an overly detailed examination of all facts or issues, which are immaterial; or which are simply repetitions of an established fact or settled issue; or are mere corroborative of an established fact or settled issue, are resorted to in making a decision, that decision is as subversive to the dictates of a fair and just decision as an incomplete one. For ultimately, is it fair that the understanding of the resolution of legal questions be unusually burdened with immaterial and unnecessary elements?

Thus, when you hear that a decision in an election protest case consists of 11,000 pages, would you not suddenly feel abnormally uneasy? And when you also hear that this is not the first but the second time around a decision of this kind was promulgated by the SAME division, is it unnatural for one to suspect that something is amiss? Hinde ba libo-libong pahina rin ang bilang ng desision ng Dibisiong ito sa kaso ni Gov. Grace Padaca ng Isabela na inilabas kamakailan lang?

The propensity of this particular collegiate body of the Comelec to come up with decisions running to thousand of pages, is simply beyond logic. Parang Crime Against Humanity ang kanilang binuno dito! In many ways, would you not also be forced to question the benign reasons behind the manner the decision was arrived at? Bakiiiiit ganito?

More so if we consider that decisions of this nature by this Comelec body are only true in cases where the administration is seen as highly partisan against the losing party but in favor of the winning party.

Is this a matter of coincidence or is it simply a declaration of impunity by those who are in power under the present dispensation?

Dahil ba walang nagawa ang bayan sa kahudasan nina Commissioner Abalos, Garcillano o Lintang Bedol, kaya ang Comelec sa ngayon ay ang bagong SIGA-SIGA ng bayan? Is the Comelec Second Division the new political liquidation squad of the current administration during these critical times?

Without going into the merits of the case, which I suspect would be like opening a septic tank breeming with maggots, are we now being made to bear witness to what could be a graphic display of another form of oppression disguised as the rule law?

Indeed, we shall all sleep in the bed we have prepared for ourselves!

Gov. Ed ‘Among Ed’ Panlilio Ousted by the Comelec 3 Stooges’

Only in Pampanga the Jueteng Capital of the Philippines where miracles do happen, no not the biblical one, but courtesy of the 3 stooges’ of the Comelec 2nd division. The jokers unseated a man of the cloth Ed Among Ed Panlilio as Pampanga Governor for cheating.

The Comelec Second Division, yes the very same people who discriminated against Ang Ladlad like a Neo-Con/Talibani extremist headed by Comelec Commissioner Nicodemo Ferrer with members Comelec Commissioners Lucenito Tagle and Elias Yusoph found sufficient ‘merit’ in Lilia Pineda’s electoral protest.

Once again just like the ruling they handed against Isabela Governor Grace Padaca the 3 stooges’ handed down their ridiculous 11,000 pages decision that in effect branded the man of god of cheating and harassment of voters. What kind of a decision will take11,000 pages is just beyond comprehension, thanks and no thanks to the digital world they have found a new tool to make life miserable for people out of favor or opposing the administratong.

Well, as proven in Isabela Governor Grace Padaca’s ouster where their ruling was literally lifted or should we say copy pasted from the petitioners lawyers documentation that took thousand of pages requiring volunteers to go through the documents full of inconsistencies, errors and worse page duplication. I suspect it will be the same scenario with these 11,000 pages, a ploy to discourage filing of a motion to reconsider because of time constraint which they the stooges’ errr 2nd division alone can decide if they will give them a 2 to 5 days extension. Of course Ferrer acting as if they are stickler for rules and procedures has already voiced out that they will deny the request because they are “bound” by the rules of procedure.

Lilia Pineda the wife of alleged Jueteng Lord Bong Pineda of all things accused Among Ed a man of the cloth of cheating and harassing the voters. How exactly did he harass the voters if I may ask? Did Among Ed shove the bible in their faces and told them they will burn in hell if they vote for former Buko (coconut) vendor turned politician “philanthropist’ as in doling out crumbs to the poor people of Pampanga courtesy of her husband the alleged Jueteng Lord Bong Pineda’s thriving “business.” Did the supporters of former buko vendor and his armed bodyguards cower and trembling hysterically in fear like little baby girls at the site of Among Ed thinking they will be condemned in hell?

I say enough of the madness and call for the impeachment of these rouges out to sabotage the will of the people.

The Senate Joke Called Jocelyn ‘Joc-Joc’ Bolante... the Man with GIRLIE Name.

What are the chances that Jocelyn ‘Joc-Joc’ Bolante will get convicted compared to Jocelyn’s success if he decides to fertilize and promote the proliferation of men with girlie names? Its about time says Lu Tong Mancau that the senate recommends the filing of criminal plunder, technical malversation, money laundering and perjury charges against Jocelyn ‘Joc-Joc’ Bolante and nine others in the fertilizer scam at the Ombudsman. Things look serious I should say but how come it seems like the senate is joking at our expense?

After a year long of grandstanding errr investigation that is all they can come up with and unable to see the involvement of Lady Le Cirque este Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is perplexing. Well, that comes as no surprise because how can we expect a group of dishonorable este honorable politicians preoccupied with their 3 minute of fame come up with thorough result when they are not exactly competent in the field of sleuthing and investigation. Besides we put or rather tongelect este comelec or is it voters stupidity or perhaps our pathetic patronage and personality based electoral contest with the outcome of ending up with them and yet instead of brilliant legislation they seem to relish and even scramble to get their hands on hearings to get them into the limelight and the crime gets lost in the process.

Why can’t they just leave competent investigative agencies like the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) do their job since the scope of the scam is national and thus they should have waited for the agency to come up with their findings? Once the senate investigation commence then the NBI loses its jurisdiction and the leads literally getting cold as in the murder of Marlene Esperat whose murderers may have been convicted but still at large with no clue or unwilling to gig deeper on who is or are the masterminds behind the killing.

The NBI has a good tract record, there is no doubt about that thus some numb nuts in position tend to use them as their private investigative arm. A waste of talents, skills, and resources I should say when they can solve crimes committed by people in high places. Unfortunately they are busy looking for the mole not the one on her face but the one that leaked Gloria Arroyo’s leaking boob, or investigating a blogger Ellaganda that hurt DSWD Cabral’s feelings or acting as protector of massacre suspect Datu Unsay Mayor Andal Ampatuan, Jr.

Are we supposed to be glad and start dancing in the street now that Jocelyn ‘Joc’Joc’ Bolante is finally facing criminal plunder charges at the Ombudsman? Well, hold your horses the Ombudsman do not exactly have a good batting average when it comes to conviction. They have more dismissed cases than conviction and if you ask Lu Tong Mancau what are the chances of Joc-Joc getting convicted compared to Jocelyn being successful in fertilizing and promoting the proliferation of men with girlie names, he would say the latter……. But then again assuming Ms. este Mr. Bolante gets convicted by some stroke of miracle, will the inmates tending the sports club ala Club Med facilities built by convicted pedophile former congressman Romeo Jalojos treat or mistake him for a hospitality girl? .
