Where it hits most
Corruption hits the poor the hardest

Two out of five people from low income interviewed in Global Corruption Barometer believe that corruption has a very significant effect on their personal and family life especially on children.

Corruption breeds bigger unemployment, hunger

4.1 million are jobless and 10.8% unemployment rate
· Joblessness 2001-2007: 11.3% average annual unemployment rate pinakamalalang 7 year period sa kasaysayan
•More than 80% of families (or 70M Filipinos) struggling to survive on P110 each day (Preliminary 2006 Family Income Expenditure Survey)

Corruption perpetuates poverty

•The poorest 30% or 5.2M families have negative savings (P1,700 each household). 2007: 4.1 M unemployed + 6.8 M underemployed
•2000-2006: Average family incomes dropped 14% or by P20,400
