UPDATE ON MARCOS' HERO'S BURIAL ISSUE

Bongbong calls PNoy 'man without one word'

A dismayed Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Wednesday criticized President Aquino for supposedly not keeping his word of properly considering the proposal to allow the late President Marcos be given state honors and be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

"It is very hard to deal in good faith with somebody who does not have one word on the subject," the younger Marcos told reporters in an interview.

Aquino had earlier asked Vice President Jejomar Binay to make a recommendation on the matter. Binay recommended that Marcos be buried in his home province in Ilocos Norte but with full military honors.

The President, however, objected to both the idea of burying the late strongman at the Heroes' Cemetery and giving him state honors.

As of posting time, Malacañang has yet to comment on Bongbong's remarks.

But earlier in the day, President Aquino reiterated before a forum by the Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines (FOCAP) that there will be no state burial for the elder Marcos as the move would allegedly be an injustice to Martial Law victims.

To which, Bongbong asked Aquino what was the point of asking Binay to study the matter and make a recommendation if he will just decide on his own.

"Nagtataka ako bakit pa tayo pinag-aksaya ng panahon kung di naman talaga susundin yung mga rekomendasyon, mga study. Mukhang sarswela lang pala lahat tong ating ginawa. It turns out it was a futile exercise," he said.

He likewise said that the President probably only promised to consider their proposal when he was still a candidate so that he could get votes.

"Sa aking pananaw eh nakapagdecide na pala siya bago pa nung kampanya... yung salita nung kampanya para lang makakuha ng boto," he said. "Hindi pala siya tapat sa kanyang sinabi nung kanyang pagka-upo. It was play acting on his part, the President's part."

Binay, for his part, said that Aquino's decision is "the prerogative of the President and we must all accept, respect and support."

Wasted opportunity?

The younger Marcos then described Aquino's actions as 'not President-like.'

"He has wasted a very good opportunity to unify the nation. He obviously does not want to heal those divisions... he wants to widen those divisions, which brings us to the conclusion he's not a natural leader," he said.

"(This) is not the act of a leader. It is not the act of the head of state. It is not the act of somebody who is trying to birng the country together. It is the act of somebody who is continuing to promote the divisiveness of partisan politics," he added.

A survey by pollster SWS for the first quarter of 2011 had earlier found a "virtually exact split opinion" between supporters and opponents of the idea to let Marcos be buried at the Heroes' Cemetery.

Meanwhile, Sorsogon Rep. Salvador Escudero III, who served as Agriculture minister during the Marcos regime, had earlier proposed House Resolution 1135 urging Aquino to allow the burial of the late strongman at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

Those allowed to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani are military personnel who died in line of duty or were honorably discharged, Filipino veterans, former presidents, government dignitaries, statesmen and national artists.

The remains of widows of former Philippine presidents, the secretaries of national defense and chiefs of staff are also authorized to be interred in the same plot where their husbands are buried.— RSJ, GMA News

Human Rights violation of Datu Unsay Mayor Andal Ampatuan, Jr. Pure Hogwash

Watching TV Patrol as the principal suspect in the cold blooded Ampatuan, Maguindanao massacre Datu Unsay Mayor Andal Ampatuan, Jr. being brought for preliminary investigation was quite a revelation. There he is acting like a frightened little girl desperately holding the hands of his lawyer as if he was his sugar daddy errrr his physical presence on his side will protect him from the wrath of angry journalist and people. Here is a “tough” heir apparent to a warlord fiefdom showing the whole world what he is made of without his fully armed thugs of private army looking more like a lost little girl horrified at being alone pleading for his lawyer not to leave him by his side.

Witnesses portraying a merciless cold blooded mass murderer whose puny brain fell off his trigger finger enjoying the murder spree typical of a sociopath inflicting the most gruesome pain imaginable and death to hapless unarmed defenseless victims but whose threshold for imagined pain was worse than a 6 six year old little girl. The overlord in the making feared by his constituents full of bravado roaming the streets of Maguindanao armed with his baby armalite and coterie of armed to the teeth thugs courtesy of their patron Gloria Arroyo’s war of terror and yet could not stand the “pain” of a handcuff hurting his “delicate” wrist. Of course he will bitch like a prostitute street walker, a deranged monster that he is who treats his firearm like a security blanket suddenly finds himself alone without his thugs and constricted by a handcuff suddenly came to the realization that alone without his guns and thugs he is nothing but a vulnerable coward.

The sociopath can really act like a drama queen that he is on his imagined pain as the video coverage of the preliminary trial shows how it was loosened, so loose he can even slide not just his wrist but his head containing his puny brain if one can even find it in his skull full of hot air. His demeanor at the preliminary hearing makes you wonder what brings about the arrogance showing his contempt at the proceedings yawning as if he has a free jail pass up his sleeves or does he thus he is acting this way? Was it arrogance or simply because he is a moron who lacks the ability to comprehend the implication of the hearing? .

To think that he was elected as a mayor and being groomed by his warlord father as his heir apparent to be the governor of Maguindanao they lord over like it was their fiefdom losing his composure or was it just his natural demeanor acting like a scared little girl is disgusting to say the least. With the likes of the Ampatuans it is sadly a reflection on the kind of people that treats elected government position like it is their birthright and we wonder why we have a corrupt and inept government?

What is odd in that preliminary investigation is the presence of the policeman involved in or was at the vicinity of the massacre as respondents or accused in the case who were not handcuffed. The number of accused easily outnumbers the prosecution lawyers and not to restrain the accused with handcuffs is a mistake and courting security breach and mayhem considering the nature and gravity of the case. Some of these accused are instrumental in carrying out the dastardly act that according to a witness claims stopped the caravan of the Mangudadatu at the check point and coordinated said to Ampatuan Jr. They are not exactly innocent harmless little meek girls that Andal Jr. thinks he is, they are respondents to the crime and others actually participated and may have done the shooting and they decided not to restrain them?

As if we have not have enough oddity in this case we now have Leila de Lima the chairwoman of the Commission on Human Rights stating that the irate journalist who allegedly hit Ampatuan with his camera went “overboard” to express his outrage and thus violated the rights of Ampatuan, Jr. If indeed it was deliberate she was right that the journalist went overboard but to say that it was in violation of Ampatuan’s human rights is pure hogwash and she herself went overboard in saying the incident was a human rights issue.

I used to be a camera buff and was in a similar situation where you have to fight for space in a tight crowd of cameramen wanting to do the same all at the same time to snap the picture of a subject. Thanks to digital video I was able to go back to the incident repeatedly and from the way I look at it, it was definitely not a deliberate act of inflicting harm on the subject but the cameraman’s instinct to act swiftly to catch the subject in a split second thus what appears to be a forceful camera swing.

Assuming it was deliberate to say that it was leading to vigilantism is a stretch and if there was any who was violated it was not Ampatuan Jr. (if found guilty committing a heinous dastardly massacre is a monster and thus not worthy of being treated as a human being) but the camera. The camera has more value and an instrument for creativity and the subject who was on the way of the camera swing is an inhumane worthless character, a mistake and a curse to be born in our midst. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a camera definitely is more valuable than the shallow forehead of a moron. If indeed it was deliberate, will we lose sleep over the incident? Yes he maybe innocent until proven otherwise in the eyes of the law but the evidence, circumstance and the threat is so glaring that for anyone to even think the Ampatuans are not guilty should seek a psychiatrist for professional help.

Ok, seriously speaking the journalist who were present are after all human beings, they have feelings too and the outrage is clearly justified anger, for who would not feel the way they do when your colleagues who are supposed to be independent in any conflict and protected are violated and murdered. If people who are not journalist are seething with anger and outrage what more with journalist? I sympathize and support the journalist present at the incident especially those who brought along the images of the massacre victims shoving them on the face of Ampatuan Jr. Enough of the silly notion that the journalist violated Andal Ampatuan Jr’s, human rights, it was the journalist who are the victims of human rights and not the other way around.

Gloria Arroyo’s Martial Law in Maguindanao a Ruse to Hide Past Electoral Fraud

Justice of the Peace of Tangipahoa Parish in Louisiana Denies Marriage License to Inter-Racial Couple

Are we in a bad recurring nightmare? This is the new millennium and not the ‘50s or so we believe it is but obviously one justice of the peace may still be living in the past.

Keith Bardwell a duly elected justice of the peace of Tangipahoa Parish in Louisiana denies marriage license to Beth Humphrey, 30, and her boyfriend, Terence McKay, 32. A shocking incident reminiscent of the ‘50s happening in the new millennium is unthinkable and bizarre to say the least. His refusal to issue a marriage license is as bizarre as it gets according to CNN’s report quoting Hammond's Daily Star newspaper below:
However, Bardwell told Hammond's Daily Star newspaper that he was concerned for the children who might be born of the relationship and that, in his experience, most interracial marriages don't last.

"I'm not a racist," Bardwell told the newspaper. "I do ceremonies for black couples right here in my house. My main concern is for the children."
I wonder where justice Bardwell got his statistics on broken marriages, it happens even on same race or even same sex marriages. Does that mean that one has to sign a contract that their marriage will last in order to get a marriage license? It is a clear case of racial discrimination and NAACP Patricia Morris, president of the NAACP branch of Tangipahoa Parish, located near the Mississippi line, is asking for Bardwell’s resignation for failing to perform his duties as an elected official.

Beth Humphrey says Bardwell is a racist although he thinks he is not which is really odd as his refusal is clearly discriminatory at whatever level you look at it.

CNN reports that Bardwell come forward and made a statement that he has piles of black friend, he invites them to his home, and even let's them use the restroom. He says all of this proves that he is not a racist. Now that is really odd, so his “friends” enjoy the fringe benefit of using his restroom?

Terence McKay and Beth Humphrey went to get their marriage license from another justice of the peace in the same parish and consulted a lawyer to determine their next move. NAACP has also forwarded this case to the state and national level of the civil rights group, it will be interesting to watch how this will turn out.

Paco Larrañaga the new Fixation for Tongressional Probe in Aid of Legislators

Once again an opportunity presents itself for our dishonorable errr honorable legislators for the elusive free ride to fame or was it notoriety via sound bytes. Who can resist a free sound byte at the expense of using people’s misery and worse victims of horrendous crimes only to be victimized further just so they can stretched the buying power (with emphasis on buying) of their pork barrel pesos, a cheap alternative to obnoxious expensive infomercials.

Indeed, they have found in Paco Larrañaga the new fixation for Tongressional Probe in aid of legislators and if we are lucky or by a stroke of miracle of biblical proportion legislation will come out of it once it became a law that is meant to be broken anyway.

This Political Jaywalker was under the impression that Cagayan de Oro Rep. Rufus Rodriguez was a breed apart from the rest of the pack but lo and behold reality sets in once again that politician of the Philippine kind disappointingly are of the same mould. Rodriguez would like the probe to be prioritized before Paco Larrañaga’s is transferred to Spain, nothing wrong with that except what if he is indeed innocent? As I have written in the previous post the accused were basically railroaded towards a guilty verdict and clearly victims of mistrial as claimed by no less than former Ambassador Seddfrey Ordoñez, various Spanish bar association and NGO’s including Amnesty International. So what exactly do they think will they achieve with Tongressional probe of Philippines-Spain Transfer of Sentenced Persons Agreement if I may dare ask? Let me venture a guess, uphold the higher court in handing down a harsher sentence and snubbing of the amice curia briefs from the descendants of our former colonizer responsible for expanding our vocabulary with coño and other invectives.

Probes should be welcomed judging from the miscarriage of justice in the Philippines and there are quite an array of deplorable instances that turns our stomach at the outcome of the case unfortunately the probe was all about political intramural of politicians that can be likened to a circus freak side show. There should be no problem if they will address the present state of pathetic judicial and prisons system but this probe is all about grandstanding and the circus surrounding the conduct of DOJ which can be handled by investigative government agencies rather than trying hard deluding themselves as if they are Sherlock Holmes or wanting to be judges at the same time while being a legislator. We have seen the sorry result of probes which is virtually inconsequential or if ever they only succeeded in running after those pesky whistle blowers just like the NBN ZTE probe where they can't even persuade the principal suspect to come up with an affidavit. On the other hand maybe this probe may just result in something of consequence if and that is a big if they recall the state witness who the court set free despite admitting he raped one of the Chiong sister and recommends his prosecution.

If the probe will re-examine the testimony of convicted felon who lied about his conviction twice sentenced to prison in the US Davidson Russia then it may just resurrect the credibility of our justice system. But this is not about unearthing the truth on the case where the state witness who may turn out to be the mastermind that the court relied on while dismissing more than 35 witnesses with sworn affidavits that Paco Larrañaga was in Quezon City during the crime as irrelevant. Yeah right, I did not know that there are super human beings who can be in 2 places at the same time, but then again the problem with jokers is they get elected into office to make a mockery of an already pathetic judicial system. Is that a surprise? Not at all especially when we see the Generals of war giving new meaning on his innovativeness why we really don’t need advice or form a US Cavalry counterpart in this image below I stole from Manuel Buencamino at Uniffors.
If you think this is turning to be a joke well you have not seen them all as seen in this remark from a party-list lawmaker, Gabriela Rep. Luzviminda Ilagan:

A party-list lawmaker, Gabriela Rep. Luzviminda Ilagan, warned that Larrañaga might enjoy many benefits in Spain and might attain his freedom once he is there.

“Once in Spain, we cannot stop Larrañaga from pursuing every possible means to get out of jail,” Ilagan said in a statement.

“And the Philippine government can do nothing about it because it already transferred authority and jurisdiction over Larrañaga’s case to the Spanish justice system,” she added.
What benefits is she talking about? Is there a benefit in incarceration? Well, unless you are a sadist and would like to see prisoners who may turn out to be innocent go through the horrors of prison life in the most detestable hell hole on earth we call Philippine prisons then she is right.

Why can’t our party list representatives focus more on strengthening grassroots representation as pointed out by my FB friend Mark Anthony Dario so the intent of the law is not bastardized by unscrupulous backdoor operators of the Comelec kind, to quote:
The primary objective of a real grassroot political party should have addressed the lack of political representation of peoples organization /sectoral representation to affect governance in the grassroot level .While the 1987 constitution and the local government code already provides the legal basis for the realization of allotting seats for sectoral representatives in LGUs,the progressive left as they call themselves failed to realize its significance to the over all advancement and concrete realization of peoples empowerment and reforms Worst , they were contented in aspiring a seat in congress as partylist representatives wherein its mere number is very insignificant to affect changes in national policies much more pass necessary legislative measures addressing reforms . To date , none of them even filed a proposed bill providing an Implementing Rules and regulation that would realize sectoral representaion for their counterpart in th e local level.
No wonder we have Mike Arroyo’s sister Lourdes Arroyo representing the balut (fertilized duck egg) vendors when she probably don’t even eat balut and definitely not a vendor of any sort except perhaps peddling her influence to gain backdoor entry to the pork barrel. Our partly list representatives are so fixated on sound byte opportunities and because they are not paying attention the sabungeros (cockfight aficionados) formed their party list further making a mockery of our political system. Well, they better pay attention or the next morons to form a party list are the Jueteng Cobramen and woman who after all can argue that if gamblers can have representation they also deserve the same entitlement in the land of cheats.

Maybe if some people especially the media not the ATM practitioner kind and our probe fixated legislators focus more on the implication and exercise due diligence they can shed light on the case and justice will be served. They play on peoples emotions and sadly orchestrate lynch mob mentality as if we have not have enough of the madness and of course mobster in high places when they present the story telling a lie that adds more fuel to the raging fire of controversy. It does not help when Senadora Mirriam Santiago hypocritically brags about due process when the convicts were convicted not on due process but lynch mob pressure. Demonizing the convicts’ family who supposedly put one over DoJ on the P750K restitution which the victims’ family never received or was even aware of such decision is truly amazing. Like the legislators they seem to be barking on the wrong tree, why not dig deeper on why the Chiong family never receive a single cent when P750K was deposited with the clerk of court as payment for Larrañaga’s liability was documented by the Cebu City RTC issued on May 26, 2009? Did the money landed on someone’s pocket other than the Chiong family? Oh please stop the madness, think of what the victims who will be victimized further when opportunist sound byte grabbers using them as a prop for their self-promotion. A Tongressional probe is not necessary when police investigation will suffice if indeed there is corruption involve in Paco Larrañaga’s transfer to Spain.

A Dinged Dong, Leaking Boobies, Sex, Lies, & Videotape Scandal in the Philippines complete with Sagging Butt

As one drives down the chaotic Edsa Highway that resembles a maze (one of the main thoroughfares in Metro Manila, Philippines) one cannot help but notice the huge posters of competing beauty clinics of Rosario Calayan of Calayan Surgicenter Corp. and Vicki Belo of Belo Medical Group (BMG) flaunting their piece of work in sexually suggestive poses. Handsome men, Beautiful women and even those in between as in gay or should we say reconditioned or perhaps reconfigured ooops no that is not the right word, let us just say beautifully enhanced perfectly molded models so shiny and bright in their almost Caucasian silken complexion so endowed in all the right places.

Gazing at these giant billboards almost gives you the feeling that you are not in the Philippines but in a tropical paradise island somewhere in dreamland where all the inhabitants are perfectly endowed with shapely figure so stunningly beautiful. Then there is this giant poster of a sexy actress/model with a foreign sounding name, the type I see in the bike paths of California’s picturesque landscape rollerblading or simply playing in the sands in their thongs trying to get as much sun to get that lovely tan. Except this actress/model was not exactly fair complexioned in the first place but with the wonders of the beauty clinic made her look like a sexy beach siren for a whopping cost of P500K to whiten her dark complexion according to our friend making a joke about the poster girl. The only problem was that her true colors errrr dark skin was evident as her offspring came out in this world with a dark complexion because the actress/model has dark complexion in the first place. So much for that farcical irony this article is all about what is going on with the beauty/cosmetic surgery clinic in the Philippines? Or better yet what is wrong with cosmetic surgery in the land where corruption is so endemic?

First we heard of the woes of a dinged dong of Filipino-American Louem Martinez who came to the Calayan Surgicenter Corp. for the removal of a cyst. Say what? Cyst removal so how in the name of Garcified backdoor Comelec electoral cheating did his dong got dinged? Heck, this is like a young clueless naive car buyer going to a used car lot sweet talked by hustler salesman into buying a lemon because he was offered whistles and bang like the stereotypical used car transaction to have his cyst removed, together with liposuction thrown in and an offer he can’t refuse...... a penile enlargement. Of course with a deal like that you ought to have a bad feeling that something amiss is going to happen and it did. True enough not only was his cyst not totally removed his prized possession also went bonkers and as if by a stroke of a Madam Auring psychic prediction I asked a while back which
I quote:
A patient seeking redress for his deformed pride and glory being counter sued is not pleasant and truly makes it a horrible experience. Top that with a banned device if it is true as claimed by Martinez lawyer and BFAD Director Gutierrez implanted inside your body is not exactly safe and reassuring. Calayan claims that it was Aquamid that she used and just made a mistake in saying Aquagel but the point is these substances are irrelevant if both were not approved by BFAD. Think of what will happen if a woman goes for breast augmentation, or reshaping some snub nosed Filipinos that may end up shaped into a bursting tomato using banned medical devices is just scary..... yikes and you get bullied with a counter lawsuit is like adding insult to injury and what about organ transplant? Oh never mind, lets deal with that some other time....... continue reading.
So now after the sex, lies, and videotape scandal of a Hayden Camera errr Kho the young doctored errr physician lover of antique oooops mother figure lover boy to the reconditioned yikes I meant beauty doctor Vicki Belo’s scandal reports are coming in if accurate on the leaking boobies of Gloria Arroyo no less points to Belo’s direction. This reminds me of a very funny satire written by Manuel Buencamino who wrote that as soon as Gloria woke up after the surgery at the Asian Hospital half dazed was muttering the famous first words :
Yon dagdag? Yon dagdag?
To which I responded with:
Did the doctor not respond with…… Don’t worry Madam President we had Garci assist us in making sure we counted the augmentation the Comelec way………
Anyway, this is really getting worse and it does not help Medical Tourism that the Philippine government is promoting when another botched operation scandal once again mars the fake errr beauty industry. There it is again as Trixie Cruz-Angeles posted a video below she aptly describes as Butt, lies and videotape...

Businesswoman Josefina Norcio who went to Belo Medical Group clinic for butt augmentation, things would have been fine except one butt cheek came out bigger than the other. She went back to have it corrected and another doctor attended to her but now instead of just a sagging butt she found herself in the intensive care of St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) for serious bacteria infection spreading to other parts of her body reported to have been caused by the hydrogel implant. An ordeal where the patient almost died is not exactly one would imagine finding themselves in such a situation over beauty enhancement is just scary.

This one is something to watch one that has similarity to the Louem Martinez dinged dong ordeal wherein the principal conveniently absolves themselves from responsibility because they were not the one who personally operated, inserted or did the procedure. According to Trixie Cruz-Angeles responding to my query the complainant will be running after all those who are responsible:

Though in general we are after the BMG as a corporate person on two grounds:
  1. Fraud in misrepresenting the safety of the procedure and of the polyacrilamide hyrdorgel; and
  2. Reckless imprudence both in the use of the untested hydrogel and the use of untrained physicians who are neither surgeons nor plastic surgeons.
Let us see how this will turn out, another one of those scandals people who are contemplating on having a procedure done in Manila to do their own due diligence before jumping into the beauty enhancement that may turn out to be life threatening.
