Gloria Arroyo's GRP MILF Peace Formula leads to Civil War
Oooops I did it again so goes the song of Britney Spears but the one singing obviously was so deluded and so out of it that what the spoiled brat wants she gets or in this case giving away while taking more……. Whaaaaat? Gloria Arroyo’s GRP MILF peace formula leads to civil war at the expense of the people in the region that will wreck havoc not just on the Christian population but the indigenous people as well together with the different Muslim factions and population unwilling to participate in the conflict.
A deal that is shrouded in secrecy abusing her executive privilege leaving the people most affected in the dark and yet will be at the receiving end of the violence that the government and the MILF decided among themselves. The brokered deal that is shrouded by secrecy makes it even worse with MILF's arrogance on stating that Vice-Gov. Pinol is wasting his time filing a TRO when he should just wait for it to be signed and he will be furnished a copy. Yeah, what is the point if it was after the fact? The fact that it does not allow those affected by the deal to even know what exactly was the deal and since they claimed it was a done deal why not make the document public?
Well blow me down and slap me silly, this administration surely redefines bonkers and once again like a thief in the night may just thrust the nation in escalating the violence of chaotic civil war proportion. Here she is so intent in changing not just the political make-up of a region that will have major repercussions affecting the lives of the population on land ownership or unwillingly land themselves in a different nation run by MILF. In short no one has a clue what she has in store for them.
Only in the Philippines where the welfare and interest of the population are not taken into consideration in forging a pact that may just turn their life into a living hell although it is not exactly heavenly now the worse is yet to come when the basis for understanding is shrouded in secrecy.
Thanks to the Supreme Court that struck down the signing of the MoA (Memorandum of Understanding) between GRP and MILF hopefully allowing the population to understand what the government and the rebel group MILF are up to in dismembering the republic. On the other hand the MILF claims that said pact on ancestral domain is a done deal because it was initialed by both sides and the signing was just a formality.
This early according to James Zamora an NGO working with IPs (Indigenous People) in Cotabato in a message sent to FilAm Forum yahoo groups reported the building up of tension in the area, to quote:

While we await the outcome of the arguments at the Supreme Court and the MILF contradicting the SC on their claim that the MoA is a done deal and the signing was just "ceremonial", some houses will be burned down, an ambush here and there with some occasional bombings and voila we are on the road to be the S.E. Asian Iraq counterpart. What a feat it is for Gloria Arroyo’s administration despite the fact that we don’t posses not by any stretch of imagination any weapons of mass destruction but definitely weapons of mass distractions and yet we are on the brink of a potential bloody civil war………. But then again maybe it will be an end of hostilities from the MILF except what will prevent the Abu sayyaf, Jemaah Islamiah, or even the resurrected out of the blue Ilagas from demanding the same if not better deal from Arroyo?

About 40 houses as of this afternoon have already been burned by armed groups in the province of north Cotabato (Midsayap and Aleosan towns), according to the Office of the Provincial Governor's Radio program.It was believed that the perpetrators are MILF members but not confirmed, one thing is clear though is that those 40 houses will not burn by itself and surely whoever is the culprit is definitely pursuing a political agenda.

Can you visualize the descendants of the American Indians claiming the entire New England and other parts of the United States as part of their ancestral domain and demanding their own “homeland?” Of course, you can’t. Because that is an insanely absurd scenario. But that’s the kind of scenario we are looking at here.

In the Pia Hontiveros show(strictly politics),adel tamano and teddy boy locsin concluded that the GRP panel used the MILF proposal as a ploy for charter change! what a disgusting ploy!
That too, while it is speculation at this point it seems a lot of people are thinking along the same lines..... what does she care if the country is thrown in a turmoil as long as she railroads this government for her end. We know and she is well aware that she can't afford to step down or find herself in the same predicament as Joseph Estrada the one she deposed but this time around there is no guarantee of an automatic pardon.
