Ed Panlilio and Gloria Macapagal Arroyo Compared

SunStar came up once again with an outrageous article written by one Ram Mercado. Comparing the ordeal and anguish suffered by Among Ed Panlilio where he should find consolation as Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is suffering more difficulties taking it by her “lonesome.” I don’t know what this guy is smoking or where he got this ATM errr “inspiration” to spew such venom, but here see for yourself:
The venom that her detractors spew around is similarly lethal as the toxicity of the calumny thrown to Among Ed.

Since the 2004 polls, her enemies have relentlessly pursued a hate campaign against the President. Today they are still demanding for her impeachment or resignation.

Similarly, since the 2007 polls Governor Panlilio has carried his cross on which his own detractors plot to crucify him.

I do not know what and how many "stations" Among Ed has gone through. I do not see any local Simon of Cyrene in sight to help him carry his burden.

President Gloria, through a woman's innate sense of empathy, would surely understand the priest-governor's current travails as Pampanga's chief executive. If she has sympathy for a fellow sufferer, she does not show it.

Definitely she empathizes with Among Ed's agony in the garden. The Governor will not sweat blood albeit wounded by his former "apostles" who not only denied him but left him to bleed by his lonesome. The venom that her detractors spew around is similarly lethal as the toxicity of the calumny thrown to Among Ed.
He says Gloria Arroyo has this “woman’s innate sense of empathy” yikes. I don’t know about that but her cold calculating character is not exactly one I consider a compassionate woman. As I read this liepaper article or should we say propaganda, I just can’t help but wonder what in the name of land of cheats makes someone to have such audacity to write such perversion especially when he follows it up with this:

Will someone please slap this guy silly so he may come up to his senses as what Among Ed Panlilio is subjected to by his jueteng and quarry plunder detractors are definitely not the same even in his wildest dreams.

Vivian Dabu no doubt in the performance of her duty to clean up the capitol earned her the ire of some people but unlike Lady Madaya hija de DM Macapagal Highway Robbery no one can accuse her of corruption. On the other hand the people against Among Ed are not exactly crusaders for good governance but known Trapos who did not have the cajones to call for the ouster of the past scandal plagued administrations.

Go ahead, delude yourself into thinking that Among Ed and your idol Gloria Macapagal Arroyo are similarly situated. Arroyo was caught with her pants down with her unethical communication with Garci which she admitted she did but like a weasel lying through her teeth did not own to the incriminating taped conversation. Her administration is plagued with scandals after scandals that involves corruption to the tune of millions of dollars while Among Ed’s detractors wanted to oust him for collecting hundreds of millions that goes straight to the Capitol intact away from the dirty dipping fingers of corrupt bureaucrats and politicians…… now where exactly is the similarity?

Exactly, how bad is the state of political affairs in the country or more particularly in Pampanga can be gleaned on this other SunStar type of reporting by Jovi T. De Leon in his article titled Balas Boys' march draws mixed public reactions, in reference to the recall move:
A more vocal group of elderly vendors, on the other hand, said: "That's just right. Among Ed and Dabu should leave. There's nothing they do for the poor.
What do they expect the government run by Among Ed do for the poor? Give away quarry fees in a manner similar to the alms they get from their Jueteng Lord? It seems they are not just poor materially but poor in intellectual capacity to comprehend what the government should do for them. They have obviously not heard of the famous inspiring speech of JFK when he says....... ask not what your country can do for you but ask what you can do for your country. Can we blame these people for such disgusting attitude? Or should we now examine and revamp the cause of the perverted and corrupted mindset brought about by decades of patronage politics that thrives on the semi-feudal condition of society?

May the Lady in the Manila Palace will lend her words addressed to her province's friends and local officials (vice governor, board members and mayors) regarding her trail in her previous Impeachment Cases. I do not exaggerate when i know and tell that she has "BIG Voice" to stop this orchestrated recall move against the duly elected Governor.

Then she should just do it, but then again why stop those fools from making a fool of themselves when she is one of them......
