It seems that anonymous would rather pounce on satirical jokers and their not so factual exaggerated mockery than deal with the real problems that makes the Philippines a basket case in Asia......Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03336187436333827201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8499859064694863448.post-37494858881437895412009-04-06T07:35:00.000-07:002009-04-06T07:35:00.000-07:00Chip Tsao's haranguing the Philippines as a co...Chip Tsao's haranguing the Philippines as a country of servants and claiming it as a satire is pure hypocrisy. It reminds me of an old cliche - pot calling the kettle black. All Chinese - especially Chip Tsao, are servants/slaves waiting for their master (the CCP & the PLA) to tell them what to say and what to do! (in our country it will never happen, that is why we have EDSA1&2 and also (maybe) the same reason why it's hard for us to economically develop like our SEA neighbors)

As with regards to country's claim for the spratly and it's Baseline Law - it's justifiable. Why the Chinese Government got mad when their CCPCC & NPC committee also pass a law making Hainan a province and will include spratly as part of its prefecture and have constructed their military fortification over the spratly. Now, who's violating what. . ? Ours is in compliance with the UNCLOS requirements of which the deadline is on May. The contention of China over Spratly is that it is supported by their ancient maps as historical evidence. But in their ancient maps the Philippines was also there - the name was Lu Song, thus it means the Philippines belongs to China too? Duh! such moronic arrogance! How about the UNCLOS & EEZ how close is the Philippines to these group of Islands? how about China? Just because it's called South China Sea, it doesn't mean it's rightfully belongs to them.

Military power is a big issue over here and China will surely cripple us. But on the other hand, the world should be grateful to us for showing the real color of China. It's all about power - who owns the islands controls the sea! - they open-up with a vengeance, so, it's not just us, it's the world!

The devil can quote Scripture for his own ends!

Finally, let's stop the culture of finger pointing over here - Election is around the corner, it's a very good opportunity for us to reflect on this national humiliation - are we going to be bribe again with the small amount of money - we are all victims here because of our self-centeredness!

Give suggestions instead of criticism.

"In the master there is a servant, in the servant a master."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8499859064694863448.post-16810839288611132009-04-03T09:27:00.000-07:002009-04-03T09:27:00.000-07:00Errrr Holmes, just a word of caution..... But ...They could claim it's a satire all they want. But ULTIMATELY, we Pinoys are enraged at the ill-regard Chip Tsao expressed towards Filipinos.

Asia City Publishing Ltd. should also be held accountable because they let rubbish like that published. What, were the Hong Kongites trying to see whether Pinoys are wimps that have no cojones to protest? Our Filipinas there are much tougher than these gutsy, supposedly educated writers could ever hope to be!Jayvee Holmesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8499859064694863448.post-15018808167011070892009-04-02T09:43:00.000-07:002009-04-02T09:43:00.000-07:00Yes Robbie, satire is satire and sometimes it can ...Yes Robbie, satire is satire and sometimes it can be insensitive, corny and even pointed, we can't dignify mockery and exaggeration because it only validates the stereotype.

Buraot, people have emotions therefore it is but normal to react with anger and hurt feelings and the key is to channel that energy towards the ills that brought about our sorry plight. The problem with our politicians is that they tend to ride and exploit popular issues of the day that tends to distract us from the real problems affecting the Philippines.

Of course we have the same rights as China, but we also have to consider that we are not in a very strong position so posturings will not help us but only expose our pathetic weaknesses.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03336187436333827201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8499859064694863448.post-1636982021368277092009-04-02T08:42:00.000-07:002009-04-02T08:42:00.000-07:00i understood that the piece was satire. yes, he sa...i understood that the piece was satire. yes, he said he wanted to portray the arrogance of the HK emplyers. but i sense a hint of his own arrogance in it. i seldom get mad at those puns, most of the time, we get over sensitive and forget to look at the bigger picture.

but his article is insensitive to say the least. just because somebody is at the bottom of the food chain doesn't mean he is not entitled to his own meal. i mean, even if we are a nation of servants, which is true, thanks to the failed economic policies of our government, does not mean we have no right to the same rights of the Giant Red Bully.

Besides, if he had his notes corect, he should have known that we had been claiming parts of the Spratlys for decades.BURAOThttp://www.iamburaot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8499859064694863448.post-37655071287350442722009-04-02T00:14:00.000-07:002009-04-02T00:14:00.000-07:00Well said...er..written! Love how the philippine media and political circuses combined to further their own cause more and to show their lack of intelligence in failing to read the article as satire, albeit poorly crafted and uber corny satire that is quite prevalent among the Hong Kong Chinese.
