Institutionalized Corruption & Witless Protection

Gloria “serious” in fighting corruption according to her interview with Joe Taruc, quoted by Neal Cruz in his column As I See It at Inquirer. Cruz posed a question on La Gloria’s seriousness which Pedestrian Observer GB has also been asking if indeed she was serious, she really need not look any further…. First Goon errrr Full of Greed yikes I meant the First Gentleman has a lot of explaining to do why his name kept on popping up like a canker sore. While we can't expect her to prosecute herself thanks and no thanks to her presidential immunity, she could at least form an independent body preferably through the UN or any entity outside the country having no interest, ties or beholden to any vested interest and political groups in the country, here is a quote from Neal Cruz’s article:
Feel free to grab this image, attribution appreciated

Instead of encouraging witnesses to expose corruption like what Rodolfo Noel Lozada Jr. is doing, she has ordered her minions to harass and intimidate them. Government agents raid their offices to look for dirt to be used against them; officemates are told to turn against them; charges are filed against their wives; an army of black propagandists are loosed against them, polluting and clogging the airwaves and irritating cell-phone owners with messages against these witnesses and the senators probing the deal with ZTE Corp. Is she really serious about fighting corruption? So why is her administration throwing everything, including the kitchen sink, at Lozada? He is a witness exposing corruption. If she is really fighting corruption, she should praise and encourage him. She should give him a medal, not try to discredit him. She should erect a monument for him, not have him kidnapped. She should have promoted him to ombudsman, instead of trying to bribe him with P550,000.

What she should do was to have those mentioned as involved in the ZTE scandal (including her husband) prosecuted. How can she punish the guilty if she does not go after them but goes after the witnesses instead? Is she serious about fighting corruption or only fighting those exposing the corrupt?

How true indeed and if I may add why of all people Razon who is accused by Lozada as one of those responsible for the botched kidnap attempt has the gall to offer Lozada his protection truly shows their arrogance that is more of a veiled threat. Top that with a promotion which I suspect was more for loyalty on a personal level as in a cabo to his Mafiosi godmother, then it really shows she is dead serious in eradicating those who exposed corruption. Lozada was right in his concern in asking where people should go in cases such as this because the very people who are supposed to protect you are the ones committing the very criminal act you are testifying against.

What really got my attention was the manner by which Neal Cruz got so irritated with lap dogs of malacañang such as defeated senatorial bet Tito Sotto in echoing the liars below: Feel free to grab this image, attribution appreciated

Take it to court. The Senate is not a court. Why is it accepting verbal testimony from witnesses without documentary evidence? What they are saying is hearsay, which is not admissible in court.

To which Cruz responded in the most direct and hilarious manner:

Hoy, Sotto! The Senate is not “Eat Bulaga.” D’yan ka na lang sa TV. Huwag ka nang makialam sa hindi mo naiintindihan. (Hey, Sotto! The Senate is not “Eat Bulaga.” Stick to TV. Don’t meddle into something beyond your comprehension)

Feel free to grab this image, attritbution appreciated

The Philippines is indeed in the muck and with the way these morons interpret and dispense justice, we the people are lucky to still have people like Lozada coming out and risking it all. Yes, there is hope amidst the pillaging thieves there are still those bothered by their conscience and sense of decency. In so doing along comes Dante Madriaga encouraged by what he sees did the right thing by voluntarily offering what he knew.

Unfortunately Dante Madriaga’s revelation is seen with more suspicion and cynicism, to quote Dominique in his blog entry The Other Witness:

Pity Dante Madriaga. Although his testimony appears more substantive and damning than Jun Lozada's, Jun Lozada seems to have taken all the thunder.

Citing Arlyn dela Cruz article on the treatment Dante Madriaga had after the testimony truly is baffling that only shows how the Philippine justice system is so perverted under a corrupt regime that uses the state at their disposal to harass and intimidate anyone that hinders their plundering corruption.

A personal situation Arlyn dela Cruz morbidly describe as a dead man walking (a term used for condemned prisoners) for getting the ire of the first family with his revelation and to see some cynics discredit Madriaga is just so bizarre and dumb. Instead of taking the plunderers line why not give Madriaga the benefit of the doubt? Even criminals are entitled to such what more with witnesses, unless one wishes the guilty party to get away with their crime then so be it. The only consolation is we see encouraging articles such as Jamal Ashley on Dante Madriaga’s explosive exposé and Gaite’s sorry tale that is worth reading compared to kotonglist errr columnist or some confused pangits (ugly) errrr pundits.

Now, why is it that these senators seem to pass the buck on who should be responsible for certain witnesses? Is it because they try to skimp on their “patriotic” fund? This would not have happened or they would not have this problem if our justice system is efficient and manned by people of integrity instead of acting like mafisosi hit man out to protect their mob boss. The Philippines has a witness protection program as early as 1991 but at the rate the criminals in high places pervert the system it is more of a WITLESS PROTECTION program. The Department of Justice tasked to enforce the program are seen more as criminal defense lawyers of those in power than prosecute criminals abusing and perverting the legal system.

All these problems are the end result of fraudulent electoral exercise where guns, goon and gold dictates the outcome of the contest and the longer it stays this way the ante keeps on going up to a point of anarchy. It then comes as no surprise that corruption is now institutionalized to the highest level because that is the game played and if these "leaders" truly wanted change now is the time to come clean, renounce and fight corruption in any form or manner.

Anyway, we can deal with that some other time we should focus and pay attention to the case filed by the grand old man of politics, the only one remaining from the old school that is highly respected compared to the bozos we have nowadays. Former senate president Jovito Salonga founder of civil society group Kilosbayan and Bantay Katarungan filed a three-page complaint against Gloria Macapagal Arroyo for violating the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, Anti-Plunder Law, and Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees at the Ombudsman. It is a long shot but civil society group should exert all efforts in pressing for accountability and responsibility, after all these crooks are answerable to us....... the victimized people long the subject of their abuse, exploitation, plunder, and insults.......

Massive Rally Demanding Gloria's Resignation

International Herald Tribune headlines' "2 former Philippine presidents join thousands at rally calling for Arroyo's resignation" estimated at 80,000 by rally organizers reduced to 15,000 by the police.... hahaha are they blind or did they apply DAGDAG (add) BAWAS (substract) Comelec counting formula?

BBC News report Ex-presidents Cory Aquino and Joseph Estrada at Philippine rally in what Correspondents say was the largest demonstration against Gloria Macapagal Arroyo since the allegations emerged weeks ago.

Thousands gather in Manila for anti-Arroyo protest, in Reuter's Carmel Crimmins report and picture by John Javellana shows massive crowds.

Philippine military warns troops from joining rally calling for president's ouster in another International Herald Tribune article reported by Associated Press only shows the regimes desperation to counter the popular clamor for Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's resignation that may turn into an ouster movement. Military chief of staff Gen. Hermogenes Esperon was quoted as saying:

A military intervention would surely weaken democratic processes and institutions. That goes against the aspiration of those who fought to regain our democracy.

Hello, in case the military backers of this lady does not notice she is the one that hinders the democratic aspiration of the people and not vice-versa.

The coup rumor and postponement of the trial against the military rebels shows that they are edgy and nervous at the prospect of having a military mutiny unlike that of the previous EDSA I opportunist group motivated purely by power grab and nothing more. This group of idealist soldiers should they succeed will hopefully distinguish themselves from the military opportunist of the past that will hold all those guilty of institutionalized corruption accountable.

Protest rallies were reported in other parts and outside of the country, dubbed as the biggest gathering so far under Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's regime. The international press is starting to cover the news events sorrounding the scandal only shows that this "political noise" is not just a noise anymore but may turn into a tsunami of people's outrage and demand for Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to be held accountable and responsible for all the scandals that points to her and her minions...... I say goodbye Gloria, heed the peoples call.....C'mon bloggers on with Gloria RESIGN! Blogswarm.

Bayan Ko

The Philippines in all its beauty and splendor painstakingly assembled by pnaymommy3, posted at youtube is a timely reminder for us not to allow the trapos (traditional politicians) to spoil, ruin, and pillage our nation with their wicked lust for power and mismanagement. To those who can't make it physically to the inter-faith rally and other street protest against the corrupt Arroyo regime we offer you Bayan Ko or you can head to Marvin Bionat's Philippine Update to light a virtual candle.
A video showcasing the beauty of the remarkable places & people of the Philippines set to the music of Freddie Aguilar's "Bayan Ko", (my country) which sometimes gets mistaken as the Philippines National Anthem because of its popularity.

Here is the translation to the lyrics of this moving song.

"Bayan Ko (My Country)"

My country the Philippines
Land of gold and flowers
With love in her palms
She offers beauty and virtue.
And of her modesty and beauty
The foreigner was attracted
O, my country, you were enslaved
Mired in hardship.

Even birds that are free to fly
Cage them and they cry,
Much more a beautiful country
Shall long to be free.
Philippines my beloved,
Cradle of my tears and poverty
I'll aspire,
To see you truly free.

Hope you enjoy the video as much as pnaymommy3 did in making it.

A Call To All Pinoys

Kung Hinde Tayo ang Kikilos, Sino Pa?
Gemma S Dimaculangan

To all Filipinos Everywhere:

I used to think that corruption and criminality in the Philippines were caused by poverty. But recent events tell me this isn't true. It is one thing to see people turn into drug addicts, prostitutes, thieves and murderers because of hunger and poverty, but what excuse do these rich, educated people have that could possibly explain their bizarre behavior? And to think I was always so relieved when petty snatchers got caught and locked away in jail because I never fully realized that the big time thieves were out there, making the laws and running our country. Can it get any worse than this?

Every night, I come home and am compelled to turn on my tv to watch the latest turn of events. I am mesmerized by these characters. They are not men. They are caricatures of men - too unreal to be believable and too bad to be real. To see these "honorable" crooks lambast each other, call each one names, look each other in the eye and accuse the other of committing the very same crimes that they themselves are guilty of, is so comical and appalling that I don't know whether to laugh or cry. It is entertainment at its worst!

I have never seen so many criminals roaming around unfettered and looking smug until now. These criminals wear suits and barongs, strut around with the confidence of the rich and famous, inspire fear and awe from the very citizens who voted them to power, bear titles like "Honorable", "Senator", "Justice", "General" and worse, "President". Ironically, these lawless individuals practice law, make our laws, enforce the law. And we wonder why our policemen act the way they do! These are their leaders, and the leaders of this nation - Robin Hoodlum and his band of moneymen. Their motto? "Rob the poor, moderate the greed of the rich."

It makes me wonder where on earth these people came from, and what kind of upbringing they had to make them act the way they do for all the world to see. It makes me wonder what kind of schools they went to, what kind of teachers they had, what kind of environment would produce such creatures who can lie, cheat and steal from an already indebted country and from the impoverished people they had vowed to serve. It makes me wonder what their children and grandchildren think of them, and if they are breeding a whole new generation of improved Filipino crooks and liars with maybe a tad more style but equally negligible conscience. Heaven forbid!

I am an ordinary citizen and taxpayer. I am blessed to have a job that pays for my needs and those of my family's, even though 30% of my earnings go to the nation's coffers. Just like others in my lot, I have complained time and again because our government could not provide enough of the basic services that I expect and deserve. Rutty roads, poor educational system, poor social services, poor health services, poor everything. But I have always thought that was what all third world countries were all about, and my complaints never amounted to anything more.

And then this. Scandalous government deals. Plundering presidents pointing fingers. Senators associated with crooks. Congressmen who accept bribes. Big time lawyers on the side of injustice. De Venecia ratting on his boss only after his interminable term has ended, Enrile inquiring about someone's morality! The already filthy rich Abalos and Arroyo wanting more money than they or their great grandchildren could ever spend in a lifetime. Joker making a joke of his own "pag bad ka, lagot ka!" slogan. Defensor rendered defenseless. Gen. Razon involved in kidnapping. Security men providing anything but a sense of security. And it's all about money, money, money that the average Juan de la Cruz could not even imagine in his dreams. Is it any wonder why our few remaining decent and hardworking citizens are leaving to go work in other countries?

And worst of all, we are once again saddled with a power-hungry president whose addiction has her clinging on to it like barnacle on a rusty ship. "Love (of power) is blind" takes a whole new meaning when PGMA time and again turns a blind eye on her husband's financial deals. And still blinded with all that is happening, she opts to traipse around the world with her cohorts in tow while her country is in shambles.

They say the few stupid ones like me who remain in the Philippines are no longer capable of showing disgust. I don't agree. Many like me feel anger at the brazenness of men we call our leaders, embarrassment to share the same nationality with them, frustration for our nation and helplessness at my own ineffectuality. It is not that I won't make a stand. It is just that I am afraid my actions would only be futile. After all, these monsters are capable of anything. They can hurt me and my family. They already have, though I may not yet feel it.

But I am writing this because I need to do something concrete. I need to let others know that ordinary citizens like me do not remain lukewarm to issues that would later affect me and my children. I want to make it known that there are also Filipinos who dream of something better for the Philippines. I want them to know that my country is not filled with scalawags and crooks in every corner, and that there are citizens left who believe in decency, fairness, a right to speak, a right to voice out ideas, a right to tell the people we have trusted to lead us that they have abused their power and that it is time for them to step down. I refuse to let this country go to hell because it is the only country I call mine and it is my responsibility to make sure I have done what I could for it.

Those of us who do not have the wealth, power or position it needs to battle the evil crime lords in the government can summon the power of good. We can pray. We can do this with our families every night. We can offer petitions every time we celebrate mass. We can ask others to pray, too, including relatives and friends here and overseas. And we can offer sacrifices along with our petitions, just so we get the message to Him of our desperation in ridding our nation of these vermin. After all, they cannot be more powerful than God!

I implore mothers out there to raise your children the best way you can. Do not smother, pamper, or lavish them with too much of the material comforts of life even if you can well afford them. Teach them that there are more important things in this world. I beg all fathers to spend time with their children, to teach them the virtues of hard work, honesty, fair play, sharing, dignity and compassion - right from the sandbox till they are old enough to go on their own. Not just in your homes, but at work, in school, everywhere you go. Be good role models. Be shining examples for your children so they will learn to be responsible adults who will carry and pass on your family name with pride and honor.

I call on educators and teachers - we always underestimate the power of your influence on the minds of our youth. Encourage them to be aware of what is happening in their surroundings. Instill in them a love of their country, inculcate in them the value of perseverance in order to gain real, worthwhile knowledge, help us mold our children into honorable men and women. Encourage our graduates, our best and brightest, to do what they can to lift this country from the mire our traditional politicians have sunk us into. The youth is our future - and it would be largely because of you, our educators, that we will be able to repopulate the seats of power with good leaders, presidents, senators, congressmen, justices, lawmakers, law enforcers and lawful citizens.

I ask all students, young people and young professionals everywhere to look around and get involved in what is happening. Do not let your youth be an excuse for failure to concern yourselves with the harsh realities you see. But neither let this make you cynical, because we need your idealism and fresh perspective just as you need the wisdom of your elders. YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU! Let your voices be heard. Do what you can for this land that gave you your ancestors and your heritage. Use technology and all available resources at hand to spread good. Text meaningful messages to awaken social conscience. Try your best to fight moral decay because I promise you will not regret it when you become parents yourselves. You will look back at your past misdeeds and pray that your children will do better than you did.

Remember that there are a few handful who are capable of running this country. You can join their ranks and make their numbers greater. We are tired of the old trapos. We need brave idealistic leaders who will think of the greater good before anything else. I voted for Atty. Martin Bautista and his team and I sure hope they will run again. Do your utmost to excel in your chosen field. Be good lawyers, civil servants, accountants, computer techs, engineers, doctors, military men so that when you are called to serve in government, you will have credibility and a record that can speak for itself.

For love of this country, for the future of our children, for the many who have sacrificed and died to uphold our rights and ideals, I urge you to do what you can. As ordinary citizens, we can do much more for the Philippines than sit around and let crooks lead us to perdition. We owe ourselves this. And we owe our country even more.

Arroyo's Open Dishonesty & Concealed Hypocrisy

One thing worst than an OPEN DISHONESTY is a CONCEALED HYPOCRISY .

Even the blind could see clearly through GMA’s call to the FILIPINO PEOPLE for a ‘new people power’ during her cabinet meeting last February 26,2008, as reported by
Joel Guinto at INQUIRER.net.

The new people power from GMA exhorts everyone in the society from the government, church, people and media to help each other to prove that truth and democracy exist in our society. Quoting GMA, she says:

Dapat pagtulungan natin lahat, gobyerno, simbahan, mamamayan at media, upang mapatunayan ng mamamayan ang katotohanan at katarungan sa ating mga institusyon ng demokrasya at hustisya. [The government, the Church, the people, and the media should help each other, to prove to the public that there is truth and justice in our democratic and legal institutions].

Ito ang bagong people power, nagbabantay sa mga proseso ng batas upang lumabas ang buong katotohanan [This is the new people power, watchful of legal processes to ensure that the truth will come out].
Grab this image, attribution to Pedestrian Observer GB is appreciated

For all of us who have been following GMA’s record since she usurped the position of the Supreme Trustee of the welfare and interest of the Filipino nation and its people in 2004, this is another spin to hoodwink the Filipinos from the truth about the rapine of decency, truth and justice in public service during her watch.

From the time she fraudulently took the highest civilian position in the land in 2004 to the present, she left, in its wake, a swath of depredation in national governance.

Propelled by the bottomless greed for money and power, the hallowed values of a free, just and humane society were scuttled into smithereens. Statutory privileges were manipulated or abused to protect those in power from their criminal acts or omission in the performance of their obligations to the people. The vigilance of the people to secure transparency in the national governance by their leaders in government were received with mailed gloves, often times with fatal consequence on many young social activists and journalists. The principle of check and balance between the principal branches of government were more observed in violation than adherence. Accountability in public service has become a farce as close political allies, family and friends turned public office as a cash cow. Public service virtually became a cottage industry for private profit for the chosen mortals in our midst.

Now, with the explosive Lozada expose on the ZTE deal clearly reminding ONCE AGAIN the public of her dismal record of service to the people, she piously presents a facade of honest sincerity of concern and care for the law, people and country.

Tama na naman itong moro-morong ito.

This administration is foolish to believe that it could lie to us again this time. Your lying days, ladies and gentlemen are over.

After all that we were made to suffer, we already know that no one could ever cure a fool of its greed. This administration had lied to us so many times before in order for it to buy time so that it may continue in its merry greedy ways. This call for a NEW PEOPLE POWER is simply another version from the mouth of a die in the wool LIAR who has turned now into a HYPOCRITE, in order to hide the true nature and intent of the messenger to weather this growing rage of a people, long maligned and abused, for truth and justice.

New People Power - GMA

Joel Guinto reports' on Arroyo's call for ‘New People Power,’ in a spit errr speech at a cabo (lieutenants) ooops cabinet meeting urging the public to keep a close watch on the legal processes to ensure the truth to come out.
Feel free to grab this, attibution appreciated

Is this a sign of dementia, out of touch or is she lying through her teeth? This is definitely not a stand up comic act so when you see such grandiose stance amidst the raging scandals as if she was not the scandal herself, seems she is so out of it or deliberately fooling herself into thinking she still has some semblance of credibility.

She calls on the people from all sectors to come together for a “New People Power” when she has the ridiculous if not stupid E.O. 464 that exempts her lieutenants from testifying is just absurd. I wanted to laugh at the farce of it all but at the same time feel insulted at how she denigrates the intelligence of the people, thinking they will easily fall for it is just unimaginable. Unless she is desperately trying to reinvent the wheel on the dynamics of people uprising someone really needs to go seek medical help…. definitely should seek the best shrink kickback money can buy.

How we wish we can say that this is just plain hypocrisy on the part of the administratong people because whatever they are trying to shove in our throats is beyond hypocrisy, this is plain criminal behavior. How can you appeal to the citizens in the interest of truth when your lap dogs errr injustice department runs after the whistleblower? Instead of investigating the major players such as the Full of Greed errr First Gentleman and his golf buddy former Comelec chairman Benjamin Abalos they are going after Jun Lozada. They even have the audacity to broadcast their misdeeds in the print media that they will charge Lozada with violation of confidentiality. And La Presidenta expect people to cooperate with her legal processes that is nothing but a joke and a tool to silence people in the know or privy to shady dealings in her scandal plagued administration?

A history of lying, an inquirer editorial sums it aptly:

The Arroyo administration has had a long history of dishonesty, deceit and lying. Its leaders are caught in a tangled web of deception. They have lost all moral authority to govern the nation.

In a society where people are honest where cheaters and liars are the aberration people in elective position resign at the slightest hint of scandal. In the Philippines when a group of people expressing their collective disgust and demand the resignation of the culpable leader, (not just once but a mind boggling never ending scandals that deals with hundreds of million dollars not even counting the electoral cheating) their motives are questioned and lumped with the "demonized enemies" of Gloria Arroyo as if she is the state such as what this lady columnist is peddling. Is it possible for a change, just once por favor señora de quack quack to focus on why people are outraged and demanding her resignation?

You know when she came out with a supposedly ‘partial conclusion’ she left out the most crucial part of the equation……. exculpating La Presidenta dearest since there is “no” evidence linking her “directly.” Yeah, now we know why she is saying that, she wants her to stay but are we surprised? Of course not because you can’t expect people like the crooked trapos (traditional politicians) to be accountable and in the interest of truth will not relinquish their position just like the Mafiosi boss will have to be taken out feet first. But then again these are people with no decency so to expect them to resign is like expecting hell to freeze over. That does not mean that people should stop their demand for her resignation and in their cunning mendacity tries to dissuade people into the inevitable culmination of a people power as the anger and frustration builds up.

Manolo Quezon cites Belinda Cunanan’s portrayal of the oppositions ‘intellectual dishonesty” as if she even has a concept what that means when husband dearest Ret. Gen. Thelmo Cunanan was appointed head honcho of the SSS (Social Security Service) while writing for and in favor of the administratong constitute what then? Anyway, MLQ is probably too exasperated to deal with it, and I quote:

I leave it to Uniffors, though, to chew on in. If anyone can get her goat, that blogger will. Perhaps Bel has no diplomatic experience and so needs to be informed what it means when a head of state witnesses the signing of any sort of official document.

The problem with Philippine ATM Journalism errr journalism is they don’t seem to have a clue on disclosure and this is true with other industry as well. You can’t expect these people to disclose material facts so one can make an educated decision, and it will be nice if the liepapers require proper disclosure especially to their kotonglist errr columnist. So if that is in place Belinda’s column should have a disclosure that his husband is under the payroll of the government in the same manner that Alex Maligno (my apologies to the malignos for mistaking them for Alex) errr Magno should disclose his “government agency consultancy,” then let us see if people will even bother reading their opinions. Why even bring this issue down the level of the trapo (traditional politicians)power struggle in their game of musical chair when this is all about integrity and dignity of the Filipino people is just so shallow. Is it because their very corrupt existence and "livelihood" depends so much on which side of the corrupt political group prevail thus they tend to ignore the peoples clamor for meaningful change?

The spin doctors of the administration are having a hard time keeping up with the evidences pouring out of the hearing with the addition of Dante Madriaga in an Inquirer account implicating quite a few accordingly lumped into what he termed, Filipino group & Chinese group. The Filipino group known or referred to as “Greedy Group Plus Plus” composed of resigned poll chief Benjamin Abalos, Ruben Reyes, Leo San Miguel, retired General Quirino Dela Torre, and the “First Couple,” now we know why they try to “MODERATE the GREED.” Damning testimony indeed if this can be proven that also implicates the ZTE officials of bribery in advancing US$41M to the "Greedy Group Plus Plus" to make sure they get the deal. You may want to check on Ellen Tordesillas blog titled “The Madriaga files on NBN/ZTE” purportedly coming from Dante Madriaga and see for yourself.
You can grab this image as long as you attribute/link Pedestrian Observer GB

Is this their response to what they foresee as the inevitable outcome of her refusal to vacate her post? A people power that is new not from her cunning definition but one where accountability and retribution that was lacking in the previous EDSA uprising will be the logical conclusion. As the events unfold and slowly they are exposed for what they are, the people have been frustrated for so long and suffered long enough that it will be unrealistic not to expect retribution this time around……………. will it happen, let us see….. but right now even if you are for ouster of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Pedestrian Observer GB is still on Gloria RESIGN! Blogswarm. Why? Because it makes no difference at this point whether you are for ouster or demanding her resignation since it all boils down to one thing... we have had enough of the lying, cheating and institutionalized corruption from the top. A Call to Catholic Bishops

by Ning Santos

N E W S B R E A K!!!!

In today’s (February 10) issue of Philippine Daily Inquirer, here is the story on “Why Lozada opted to testify at last minute:”

“Lozada said (Mike) Defensor assured him (Lozada) the media will be managed (“tatrabahuhin”) and that GMA 7 news anchor and senior vice president for radio Miguel “Mike” Enriquez will be “in charge of your press conference.” (Mike) Enriquez said he was shocked.

“Lozada, in an interview with the Inquirer and GMA 7 last night, said Defensor told him to deny he had been abducted because the controversy was hurting President Macapagal-Arroyo.”

February 9, 2008

Dear INTERNET Friends,

In view of the Revelations of RODOLFO “Jun” LOZADA JR. on, among others, the $130,000,000.00 “Commision” demand by former COMELEC (of “Hello Garci” notoriety) Commissioner Benjamin Abalos, Sr. in the $329,000,000.00 aborted contract with China’s ZTE Corporation, aside from the MANY LIES and LIARS in HIGH GOVERNMENT and MILITARY, I am resending copy of letter I sent last October to Archbishop Diosdado A. Talamayan.

ALL the about 100 Active MEMBERS of the CATHOLIC BISHOPS CONFERENCE of the PHILIPPINES or CBCP were sent hard copy of the letter!!!

While the letter is addressed to a Catholic Archbishop, it is actually a Reasoned Demonstration and Exposition why LIARS Rule the Philippines, an ACTUALIZATION or REALIZATION of what I wrote on February 1, 2005 in the Preface of my book “The PRESIDENT and Her MEN KISS the ASS of RAMON TULFO:

“What more picturesque sight can one find to demonstrate this power of Satan over Philippine Society than the spectacle of the President and Her Men Kissing the Ass of Ramon TULFO, the Super, Super Liar son of Satan?”

LIARS Rule the Philippines !!!

October 29, 2007

Most Reverend Archbishop
Arsobispado nat Tuguegarao
Rizal Street, Tuguegarao City
3500 Cagayan North , Philippines

Dear Archbishop TALAMAYAN,

Pax Christi!

This refers to the news item which appeared in the October 26, 2007 issue of the Philippine Daily Inquirer:

“ North Luzon bishops want GMA to stay.”

“In a statement, Tuguegarao Archbishop Diosdado Talamayan said 12 bishops from the North had prayed together and discussed the issue and agreed not to support the call made by three bishops from Luzon for Ms. Arroyo to step down.

“We, twelve bishops, after praying and discussing the problem, believe the alleged bribery between Malacanang and some government officials is an issue that has to be primarily resolved in the sphere of temporal affairs, particularly politics. Thus, we are not in a position to render judgment on the veracity of the matter,” Talamayan said.

“Therefore, as ministers of the Church, it is not our prerogative to support the call for the President’s resignation. However, as pastors, it is our duty to look after the moral life of the faithful. Therefore, we welcome the idea that a thorough investigation should be done in order for the truth to prevail.”

TRUTH Can be Reached by the Human MIND, even UNAIDED by Prayers or Divine Revelation

The Archbishop and his Companions of 11 Bishops, I am sure, recalling their classes in Scholastic Philosophy, specifically elementary logic and epistemology or gnoseology, firmly believe that the human mind, unaided by any Divine Revelation, can arrive at ABSOLUTE TRUTH with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY like one plus one equals two, or, if two statements contradict each other, one of them must be NECESSARILY and SURELY FALSE although BOTH could also be FALSE.

GMA, One BIG LIAR, Leader of Equally BIG LIARS!!!

This “paper” will PROVE and DEMONSTRATE, without the aid of “Divine Revelation,” that President ARROYO is One BIG LIAR aided by her TOP Advisers (CABINET Secretaries) who are Equally BIG LIARS.

Let us start with the recent P500,000.00 Cash Dole-Outs handed to several officials in a meeting (early this month of October) of over a hundred Government Oficials, in Malacanang.

LIARS in the P500,000.00 Cash Dole-Outs

On the P500,000.00 cash dole outs handed inside Malacanang of which one of the recipients is Governor Ed Panlilio of Pampanga, Archbishop Talamayan and the other Bishops can arrive at the ABSOLUTELY TRUE CONCLUSION that either Presidential Political Adviser and Cabinet Member RONALDO PUNO--- or--- Eastern Samar Governor-League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) Secretary-General BEN EVARDONE and Palawan Governor-LPP Spokeperson JOEL REYES--- are LYING--- or that ALL the THREE Government OFFICIALS allied with the PRESIDENT are LYING.

Why is this so? Because RONALDO PUNO said the money came from Speaker JOSE de VENECIA. This claim is CONTRADICTED by both Governors EVARDONE and JOEL REYES of the LPP who said that the money came from them.

Also, GOVERNOR PANLILIO said that the bundles of P1,000.00 bills given him are wrapped with papers bearing the name “Bank of Commerce” whereas the LPP cash assets are deposited in three banks namely Philippine National Bank, Land Bank of the Philippines and Banco de Oro.

The above statements are proofs enough to make ABSOLUTE CONCLUSIONS with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY that EVARDONE and JOEL REYES could also be LYING, in which case these THREE OFFICIALS ALLIED with the PRESIDENT could ALL be LYING!!!

I have demonstrated to you, Archbishop Talamayan, that one can arrive at ABSOLUTE TRUTH with ABSOLUTE CERTITUDE (that at LEAST THREE—it could be FOUR---OFFICIALS Allied with PRESIDENT ARROYO Are and Could Be LYING) by USING Ones UNAIDED (by Divine Revelation, or by Prayers) MIND. And one need not be a PhD to achieve this feat!!!

So that Archbishop Talamayan and his Companion Bishops will be enlightened even without going into deep prayers and meditations for guidance, I present here some of the LIES Coming out of the PALACE and TOP PALACE AIDES:

There are MANY LIARS here because the LIE was formulated by Members of the CABINET, led by Finance Secretary Margarito Teves. That such a group of “elite individuals supposed to posses brilliant minds” were not able to “see” the “GRAND STUPIDITY” of the decision is a FULFILLMENT of the warning made centuries ago that “whom the gods want to destroy make crazy first.” The decision to “Smash the 18 Luxury Vehicles” is ONE CRAZY, Insane, Very, Very STUPID Decision.

This LIE on SMUGGLING Cost the Filipino People P40.0 Million to Show on TV Worldwide, A Cecil de Mille Production for WorldWide TV Exhibition of the LIE and Stark and Utter STUPIDITY of the Philippine PRESIDENT and Her CABINET Secretaries!!!

Although it is a little difficult to demonstrate this as a LIE, I will try to explain it as a LIE ACCORDING to the SCHOLASTIC Philosophy definition of “to LIE” which is “Loqui Contra Mentem” the English translation being “To Talk Contrary To Ones Own Mind.”

The Archbishop and the Bishops, I am sure, because of their thorough groundings in Scholastic Philosophy, can easily understand my explanation

how the PRESIDENT and Her MEN LIED to the FILIPINO PEOPLE and to the WORLD in this instance.

It is assumed here that God has implanted some Truths in the hearts (in cordibus) and minds of all human beings as they are created to enable them to live in communities.

To lie is to pronounce or speak or say or utter words to ones audience (Latin for listeners) whose meaning(s) is (are) contrary to the contents of the mind of the speaker.

President Arroyo announced on the third week of August 2007 that she ordered the smashing of 18 smuggled luxury vehicles (valued at P40.0 million) to send a strong message to the smugglers that “they will not be allowed to redeem other cars that may be auctioned off through their paid proxies.”

THIS is a LIE!!! (and a Very STUPID LIE) because it is not by smashing the cars by which you send a strong message to the smugglers to teach them a lesson. You teach them a lesson by CATCHING them and IMPRISONING them, not by Smashing the immobile Cars , HELPLESS and UNABLE to DEFEND THEMSELVES (Ha! Ha! Ha!) against the Presidents’ VERY STUPID DECISION carried out by EQUALLY UNTHINKING huge machines!!!

If this is a LIE, what then is the TRUTH that RESIDES in the MIND of the PRESIDENT and Her CABINET Secretaries?

The TRUTH in the MIND of the President is this: I and my TOP AIDES KNOW ALL ABOUT SMUGGLING. But we will HIDE from the FILIPINO PEOPLE our knowledge by FOOLING them, by a show, TELEVISED WORLDWIDE: the destruction and smashing of P40.0 million worth of luxury cars on the PRETEXT of teaching the smugglers a lesson. The Filipino People, because We Consider and Treat Them STUPID, will BELIEVE this LIE, and we will be safe from the suspicion of the people that WE KNOW ALL ABOUT THE BIGGEST SMUGGLINGS going on at Customs Ports and other parts of the country!!!

If the PRESIDENT and Her TOP PEOPLE are NOT PRETENDING that they REALLY DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING about the SMUGGLINGS going on, then the MULTIBILLION PESOS Intelligence FUNDS of the President, the Cabinet, the Armed Forces of the Philippines and All Other Law Enforcement Agencies of the Government were all USELESS. Then, also, all the Top Officials of the Bureau of Customs, the thousands and thousands of Customs Policemen and Intelligence Agents, and Inspectors and Collectors are ALL BLIND, STUPID PEOPLE and all SMUGGLERS are Super, Super INTELLIGENT, Super, Super SMART, Super, Super EFFICIENT so that they were able to FOOL ALL the over 100,000+++ Military People, the Philippine National Police, the Navy, the Coast Guard, the National Bureau of Investigation, the over 5,000 Customs Employees and Officers with all their contacts among the Brokers, Shipping Companies, Importers, Exporters, Banks, Truckers and Haulers with whom the Smugglers must make arrangements, pay charges, etc.

But the MULTIBILLION PESOS Intelligence Funds are NOT USELESS, and the over 5,000 CUSTOMS Officers and Employees, and over 100,000+++ MILITARY, POLICE, and other GOVERNMENT LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS are NOT ALL STUPID AND BLIND!!! Also, The Smugglers are not Super, Super INTELLIGENT, Super, Super EFFICIENT, Super, Super SMART!!!

ERGO, President Arroyo and Her Top People

Come on, you 12 Archbishop and Bishops, I am sure you understand my explanation and you have no way of refuting it, that the President LIED about the SMUGGLERS and SMUGGLING when she announced she was having the 18 luxury cars destroyed to teach the smugglers a lesson.

As Filipino Citizens, Archbishop Talamayan and all the other Bishops have the RIGHT (not OBLIGATION) to CHOOSE to SUPPORT or NOT to SUPPORT President ARROYO.

As Filipinos, they are FREE to SUPPORT the President EVEN though She Has Been PROVEN to Have MASSIVELY LIED to the FILIPINO PEOPLE.

BUT DO the Archbishop and the Bishops think they could still be EFFECTIVE PASTORS to Their FLOCKS at the same time that They ARE SUPPORTING a LYING PRESIDENT?

Archbishop Talamayan and the 11 Bishops, YOU are FREE to SUPPORT President ARROYO But YOU Should CONDEMN the LIES of the President and her Top Aides If You Want to be Worthy of Your Appointments by the Vicar of Christ on Earth as SHEPHERDS of CHRIST’S FLOCK. You know your Latin, Qui Tacit, Consentit!!!

Satan’s LIARS Rule the Philippines through President ARROYO

On February 1, 2005, I wrote in the Preface (page viii) of my book “The PRESIDENT and Her MEN KISS the ASS of RAMON TULFO,” these prophetic words:

“What more picturesque sight can one find
to demonstrate this power of Satan over Philippine Society than the spectacle of the President and Her Men Kissing the Ass of Ramon Tulfo, the Super, Super Liar son of Satan?”

I say prophetic because a few months after these words were written, the Filipino People were subjected to Many LIES Coming from MALACANANG and TOP People Allied with the PRESIDENT, such as:

  1. The “Hello Garci” tapes.

  2. The non-release of the “Mayuga Report,” supposed to be the results of the investigation of the “Hello Garci” tapes.

  3. The Flight to U.S.A of Joc-Joc Bolante to Hide the Truth about the P728 Million Fertilizer Fund Scam

  4. The Secret Private Funding (US$75,000.00 monthly)of the Venable Contract

  5. And now, the SECRECY and DENIALS (meaning LIES) by TOP OFFICIALS Allied with the PRESIDENT surrounding the US$10,000,000.00 BRIBE OFFER offer to Jose de Venecia III and P200,000,000.00 BRIBE OFFER to former NEDA Director-General Romulo Neri by COMELEC Chairman Benjamin Abalos in connection with a US$329,000,000.00 Government Project to be shouldered by the Filipino People.

Archbishop Talamayan and the 11 Bishops can be excused for SUPPORTING the PRESIDENT if the ONLY LIES coming out MALACANANG and Leading Officials Allied with the PRESIDENT are the ones in connection with the P500,000.00 Cash Dole-outs about which they have prayed for guidance before making a decision to SUPPORT GMA as against the Support of People allied with Bishops Julio X. Labayen, Deogracias S. Iniguez Jr. and Antonio R. Tobias.

But the LIES (to the Filipino People) of GMA and Her TOP AIDES are TOO NUMEROUS!!!

I am sure the 12 Bishops know that Christ CONDEMNED LYING above murder, stealing , fornication, etc. by His assertion that “Satan is the father of liars!!!

The 12 Bishops, as Filipino Citizens, Have All the Rights as Filipinos to SUPPORT the CONTINUED STAY of the PRESIDENT in MALACANANG.

BUT since they are ALSO the PASTORS of the Filipino People, it is Their DUTY to DENOUNCE LIES COMING from MALACANANG and the TOP OFFICERS ALLIED with the PRESIDENT.

NOT to DENOUNCE LIES from the PALACE and ANNOUNCING the Bishops’ CONTINUED SUPPORT for the PRESIDENT would SURELY CONFUSE the FLOCKS of these Bishops. The Archbishop and his Bishop Companions would be guilty of committing SCANDAL!!!

(Dear Archbishop and Bishops, Please consult your theological notes on SCANDALIZING the Small Ones.).

For the SCANDAL Arising from their OPEN SUPPORT of GMA without CONDEMNING the LIES of GMA and Her BOYS, the punishment to be meted them, coming from the mouth of Christ Himself is as follows:

“Utilius est illi, si lapis molaris imponatur circa colium ejus, et projiciatur in mare, quam ut scandelizet unum de illis!!!”( “It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin.” (Luke 17, ii).)

You are FREE to SUPPORT the President even if she has been Found to be MASSIVELY LYING to the FILIPINO PEOPLE.

BUT You are NOT Free to be SILENT About Her LIES and those of Her AIDES!!!

Let me share with you, dear Archbishop Talamayan and the other Bishops, another appropriate Biblical passage that NOW Describes the FIGHT in which your fellow BISHOPS (of which Bishops Labayen, Tobias and Iniguez are active combatants) are now engaged in MORTAL COMBAT!!!

“Quonian non est nobis colluctatio adversus carnem et sanguinem; sed adversus principes, et potestates, adversus mundi rectores tenebrarum harum, contra spiritualia nequitiae, in coelestibus…”(ad Ephesios, 6, xii).

Deo gratias!!

In Christo
