I realized that some of my fellow bloggers are upset over this obnoxious farcista errr fashionista (she thinks she is but she is far from it, a victim not of fashion but of her own upbringing) but please a word of caution never ever compare her to Donya Buding or Miss Piggy. Donya Buding is a consumate comedian and a class by herself, she will never even in her dreams can come close to Donya Buding. While Donya Buding is a class act and really a classy woman Malu Fernandez has no class, nada, zip, zilch so excuse me, comparing her to Donya Buding is the biggest insult ever. Fer cryin out loud she is not even in the calibre of a cartoon character like Miss Piggy what more with Donya Buding.
I am not blaming or stopping anyone from poking fun at her size because what goes around come's around…… KARMA baby, you reap what you sow and it will haunt her like a ghost until she change her ways.

I do not know the smell of axe or charlie cologne because i'm not using any of them. I just wonder how she knew these kinds of smell. di kaya yon ang ginagamit nya at yong mga katabi nya ay mga signature prefumes at cologne ang gamit?
At siguro yong mga bangles or her so-called accesories nya ay bakal o tanso as compared to those OFW's na pure gold talaga.?
one more thing, she implied that mas higher ang status nya than any OFW's at feeling nya rich sya, why did she take a lowly airline at economy pa na merong flat screen na sira? At ano ang complaint nya, eh yon ang binili or afford nyang ticket o baka give away lang sa kanya? me, hindi ako sumasakay sa patakbuhing airline at hey, dapat alam NYA how to call the attention of the airline crew para mag complain.
In all probability, nagsisinungaling sya kasi marami sa kauri kong OFW ay di maingay na katulad ng sinasabi nya dahil gusto naming matulog lang para fresh pagbaba ng eroplano. Palagay ko pakiramdam nya ay siya na ang pinakamaganda sa lahat ng pinay pero it turned out na mas mukha syang basura at di sya makapaniwala na ang mga ofw na katabi nya ay mas maganda kesa sa kanya.
Ano kaya ang pinapanood nya at that time, baka yong may line na, "you are but a trying hard copycat." o kaya yong pelikula ni ate vi na merong dialog na "ayaw ko ng masikip".
Ang cheap at napaka hypocrite mo, ano nga ulit name, ah malu fernandez.

She should have used her talent to further the hardwork of the OFWs or herald the successes of Pinoy's and constructively criticize what need to be corrected of our culture, etc.

I went to St. Martin's College of Art and Design in London (where John Galliano and Alexander MacQueen) and now works at Harrods. I wear No. 1 Perfume by Clive Christian (try it, if you can afford it!) as I got bored with my Jo Malone perfume two years ago (so last season!).
Every two months, I fly to Paris (sometimes first class, sometimes economy class) to unwind and sip coffee along Champs Elysees (but actually my favorite is Cafe Malongo along St-Andre de Arts). I just came home two weeks ago from Cape Town in South Africa (I have extensively traveled Europe and North America because of my work--read: designing assignments and attending fashion shows-- so I have decided to widen my horizons with this trip to Cape Town.)
I travel with my LV trolley although frankly I find monogrammed LV ugly and tacky (as most Parisians do). I love my Jimmy Choo and Gina collection.
Like you, Malu, I'm materialistic and shallow; I do enjoy my high-end lifestyle, my designer stuff and the company of my rich friends.
Yes, I enjoy being fabulous BUT I never felt I'm a better person than most OFWs and I certainly don't mind sharing a plane with them (first class or economy.) My most favorite part of my flights going to Manila is when the plane touches down the tarmac and people starts clapping their hands. I can feel their excitement and I feel so happy for them that finally, they will see their loved ones. So what if they're noisy?
If you care to observe, Malu, there are Americans and Europeans who are noisy too. Have you been to a flight where there are fans coming home from watching a premiereship league? I enjoy most of my trips to Manila because I get to share stories with these OFWs. Actually, I find them more interesting than most rich airheads I meet in Manila.
I don't need sleeping pills during my flights because I can sleep soundly knowing that the kind-hearted OFWs I have befriended are looking after me and my stuff-- that's how dependable they are.
I did not find your article funny nor witty at all. You were rude and insensitive and you should apologize to the very people who keep your country afloat.
Have some class, Malu, or at least have some manners, then maybe you can be as fabulous as I am. Oh, by the way, I only weigh 110 lbs.

Thanks for all your feedback, it seems that this Malu Fernandez is here to stay...... Manila SubSatan-dard has come up with an ad on the return of the pigsty errrr Divalicious kuno in its 27th of Aug. issue..... stay vigilant, we may have to up the ante and opt for boycotting not just the ass wipe paper but their sponsors and advertisers as well.
this is my first time to know about this issue and i was really shocked and so angry to that MALU FERNANDEZ who is a SOCIAL CLIMBER, FEELING and ASSUMING, IRRESPECTFUL and TACTLESS who, I think, was not thinking when she wrote her article. She thought her article would make her better writer but she was so wrong. Many Filipinos abroad are even MORE RICH than you MALU but they dont do that. It seems that you are so conscious of yourself. Who cares if you wear accesories or the costliest perfume. I think the next time you write, you should observe the ethics of being a journalist. Halos sumabog ang dibdib ko s galit ng mabasa ko ang mga sinabi mo s kapwa mo Filipino. Next time na magtravel abroad k, take a flight na alam mong wlang filipino. If ur planning to go to other countries, ang kunin mong flight ay yong mag-stopovr s Afghanistan at dun k nbbgay or yung wlang stopover at magsuot k ng piring s mata para di k mkkita ng filipino.
